This umbrella has a 2-way design that can be used in two ways: a "long style" that can be quickly folded and folded like a long umbrella, and a "compact style" that can be stored in a bag. "Even with a parasol, I still feel hot." That may be because the umbrella fabric retains heat. We apply a special coating of aluminum particles to a fabric just 0.06mm thick. This reflects near-infrared rays, which cause heat, and prevents the fabric itself from retaining heat. In the "heat-blocking effectiveness rate" test, which indicates the product's heat-blocking performance, it recorded a high figure of 88.7%*. It repels the scorching heat of midsummer, creating a "deep coolness" under the umbrella.

Everyone is struggling with the hassle of folding.

In recent years, demand for folding umbrellas has reached an all-time high. Behind this is the surge in their use as parasols due to the extreme heat. It's true that folding umbrellas, which can be stored in a bag when not in use, are a modern necessity. However, we want to ask: "Does your umbrella really make your travels more comfortable?"

People who go out a lot go back and forth between indoors and outdoors many times a day. Every time they do, they have to stop, snap the bones, and neatly arrange the dough. This "folding time" takes up valuable time and causes small amounts of stress.

Our goal was to combine the best of both worlds: the convenience of a long umbrella and the portability of a folding umbrella.

Long umbrellas are quick and easy to close, but they are bulky to carry. Folding umbrellas are great to carry, but they are a pain to close. We developed the "2WAY" structure to end this dilemma.

What we focused on was the time "while traveling," between "when in use (when it's pointed)" and "when it's stored (when it's put away)." When you go into a store or get on the train, in those situations where you just want to close it, you can easily fold it up while it's still long and put it in a long bag. It's as easy to use as a long umbrella, and you can travel smartly without any hassle.

Regarding functionality claims: The claims of "100% light blocking" and "100% UV blocking" on our products are based on the results of testing a portion of the fabric using a test method based on JIS standards. Due to the structure of the product, there is a possibility that a small amount of light may leak through perforations and other seams, so we refrain from using the expression "complete light blocking" to avoid misunderstandings among customers.

Wind resistance: The ability to withstand winds of 15 m/s is based on test results conducted in a fixed environment. It does not guarantee complete protection against damage in actual usage conditions (such as strong winds or the way the umbrella is held).

About the 2-way function: When carrying the product in its long form, be sure to use the included long bag and take into consideration the safety of those around you.

Regarding the coating: Friction with sharp objects may cause the coating to peel off. When storing the product in your bag, please be careful not to rub it against other items.

Caution when using fiberglass: The frame of this product is made of highly elastic fiberglass. It is a flexible and unbreakable material, but if it does break, the ends of the glass fibers may be exposed and cause injury. Never touch the broken part with your bare hands and immediately discontinue use.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: It says it blocks out 100% of light, but does that mean it blocks out all light?

A: The fabric itself provides 100% light blocking, the same performance as a product known as "complete light blocking." However, due to the sewing process, there is a physical possibility that a small amount of light may leak through pinholes, so we do not use the term "complete light blocking" to be honest.

Q: Why is the inside black?

A: It is to absorb the glare (reflected light) from the ground. If the inside were a light color, the reflected UV rays would be reflected back onto your face, but by making the inside black, this is prevented, increasing the sunburn prevention effect.

Q: Can I use it on rainy days?

A: Yes. It has high water resistance, so it can be used as an umbrella without any problems. After use, please dry it well in the shade before storing it to prevent rust and mold.

Q: Is it wind resistant?

A: Yes. By using a seven-rib structure instead of the standard six, and by using flexible glass fiber, we have ensured that it is strong enough to withstand wind speed tests of 15 m/s.
