About Our Manufacturing Partner
Anberg's products are manufactured in a factory in Fujian Province, China, in partnership with a Taiwanese-owned umbrella manufacturer founded in 1967.
This factory specializes in producing high-quality umbrellas for department stores and renowned domestic and international brands. It also holds manufacturing authorization from global sports brands that have strict quality audit standards. Its high sewing technology and robust quality control system support the production of Anberg's products.
Wooden Dies for Cutting Umbrella Panels
Even for umbrellas of the same size, the wooden dies are adjusted by millimeters depending on the fabric thickness and the type of frame.
By using multiple wooden dies tailored to the specific characteristics of each product, we create a beautiful silhouette and appropriate tension when the umbrella is opened.
The Process of Using a Rare "Single Chain Stitch Sewing Machine"
Depending on the type of umbrella and fabric characteristics, we intentionally use a "single chain stitch sewing machine," which is quite rare nowadays.
Mr. Tsujino, our representative, who has been involved in umbrella production for over 30 years, highly regards this machine, stating, "There is nothing better suited for umbrella production than this machine." The skilled craftsmanship that understands the characteristics of this machine leads to beautiful stitching and a reliable finish for each umbrella.
Fabric Transillumination Inspection
Each piece of fabric is inspected one by one by transilluminating it on a specialized workbench with fluorescent lights under frosted glass. We carefully check for weaving irregularities, small stains, skipped stitches, and other defects to prevent any oversight of flaws.
Well-Organized Work Environment
The factory is fully air-conditioned, and workers wear uniforms. By maintaining a stable environment that prioritizes hygiene and safety, we create a system where craftsmen can focus intensely on their work.
Hand-Sewn "Middle Stitching" for Enhanced Quality
The "middle stitching" process, which secures the fabric to the ribs, is often automated by machines in factories that prioritize efficiency and cost. However, considering the neatness of the thread ends and the strength to withstand repeated opening and closing, hand-stitching currently maintains overwhelmingly higher quality.
Therefore, at Anberg, we pursue durability for long-term use and perform this process entirely by hand. The precision of the handiwork by skilled workers, carefully finishing each umbrella in a well-organized environment, supports the reliable quality of our umbrellas.
"Mid-Process Inspection" to Stabilize Quality
A "mid-process inspection" is conducted before attaching the handle. By adding a check before final assembly, we prevent defects after assembly and maintain a high yield of good products.
Final 100% Inspection and Packaging to Prevent Contamination
This stage involves a final 100% inspection, labeling, and packaging. To prevent contamination by foreign objects such as hair and dust, the inspection and packaging areas are strictly separated by partitions, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
Process Feedback and Improvement
In the unlikely event that a defect is found, it is categorized, recorded, and stored. This data is promptly shared (feedback) with the person responsible for the relevant process, leading to prevention of recurrence and continuous improvement of work processes.
Random Sample Inspection Before Shipment
After the final inspection and packaging, a further random sample inspection is carried out. If a certain level of defects is found here, the entire lot is re-inspected from the beginning.
Through such rigorous checks, the durability and quality that match our concept of "from disposable to permanent" are maintained.
