By subscribing to our newsletter, you will receive the following comprehensive warranty services (refund, quality, accident, and negligence) from the date of purchase.

<Regarding newsletter registration> We ask that you register your email address (newsletter registration) so that we can manage your purchase history and warranty period on our system and provide you with smooth support. Your email address will serve as your "warranty card."

  • How to register: You can register at the bottom of the page or on the address registration screen when purchasing a product.

  • Frequency: Newsletters are sent out infrequently, about six times a year.

  • Note: Please be sure to register with the email address you used when purchasing. Due to system integration, registration is required to apply for warranty service.

1. Money-back guarantee (30-day returns)

AMVEL UMBRELLA STORE products can be returned for any reason and refunded within 30 days of receiving the product.

  • Conditions: Only available to customers who purchase from the official AMVEL UMBRELLA STORE online store.

  • Number of times: One time only.

  • Condition: We will accept returns even if the tags have been removed due to trying on the item or if the item has been used, as long as you have the item in hand.

  • Shipping costs: To be paid by the customer.

  • Not applicable: If the product is lost or discarded.

2. Quality Assurance

If a quality problem occurs with the product under normal use within one year of purchase, we will replace or repair it free of charge.

  • If the product cannot be repaired or exchanged for the same product, we will replace it with an equivalent product.

  • Not applicable: In case of loss.

3. Disaster Insurance

If your umbrella is lost or damaged due to a disaster, accident, or theft, we will repair or replace it free of charge within one year of purchase if you can provide proof of the incident (a certificate from the police or a public institution).

  • If the same product is not in stock, we will exchange it for an equivalent product.

  • No refunds will be given.

4. Negligence Warranty

If you accidentally break your umbrella within one year of purchase, you can repurchase the same item at 50% off the regular price.

  • Conditions: Please present the damaged item (including photos, etc.).

  • Examples of negligence: getting an umbrella caught in a door, dropping an umbrella due to your hand slipping, etc.

  • Solution: If the same product is out of stock, you can purchase an equivalent product at 50% off.

  • Number of times: One time only.

  • Not applicable: In case of loss.

*The warranty does not apply to customers whose shipping address or current residence is outside of Japan.

Repairs outside the above warranty

As a general rule, we accept repairs for products manufactured and sold by AMVEL UMBRELLA STORE, even if they are outside the warranty period or are not covered by the warranty.

[Repair conditions]

  • Please sign up for our newsletter.

  • We only repair products sold in our shop.

  • We do not accept repairs for products from other manufacturers as the parts do not fit.

[Shipping Fees]

The shipping cost for sending the item for repair will vary depending on the cause of the problem.

  • In the case of initial defects or natural failures, please send the product to us at our expense (cash on delivery) if there are any defects or initial defects within the quality guarantee period (within one year).

  • In the case of damage caused by customer negligence , repairs for damage caused by incorrect use or carelessness (such as dropping the product or damage caused by strong winds) will be borne by the customer (prepayment) even if the product is within the warranty period.

After repair, shipping costs will be paid by our company (prepayment)

[Notes regarding repairs]

  • If we do not have the correct part, we will not be able to repair it.

  • If genuine parts are not available, substitute parts may be used.

  • Due to the structure of the product, it is not possible to repair tears or holes in the fabric.

  • Automatic opening and closing umbrellas (one-touch opening and closing folding umbrellas) may not be able to be repaired due to their complex structure.

  • Special repairs will be discussed separately.

[Payment method for repair costs]

We will send you an invoice by email from within the store, so please choose your payment method from the store's payment options.

[Repair period]

Please allow 2 to 4 weeks for repairs to be completed after delivery. *Repair times may be longer than usual during peak seasons from March to July or immediately after typhoons.
