The most challenging aspect of development was dramatically expanding the coverage area while maintaining VERYKAL's signature "slim silhouette" and "incredible lightness." While similar-sized automatic opening and closing umbrellas weigh between 280g and 350g, we set a target of 210g, the weight of a smartphone. Rather than simply making it bigger, we pursued the "golden ratio" of slimness when stored and security when in use. This challenge was supported by 1,700 people through crowdfunding, and we reached such a high level of perfection that even YouTubers who are well-versed in gadgets spontaneously recommended it.
A "large roof" supported by aircraft materials and 15-denier fabric
The core of the technical logic is the fusion of a strong carbon fiber frame, the same type used in aircraft, with an ultra-lightweight 15 denier fabric, the same type used in stockings. Its spacious diameter of 107cm is also strong enough to withstand wind speeds of 15m/s. Furthermore, reinforcement parts have been added to the shaft, which is the key to the automatic opening and closing, ensuring durability that will last for many years.
