I used to dislike long umbrellas.

Even after dealing with umbrellas for over 30 years, I was bothered by how "heavy and cumbersome" they felt to carry after the rain stopped, so I found myself choosing only folding umbrellas.

However, long umbrellas still offer convenience when it comes to the sense of security they provide during rain, their smooth opening and closing, and the ease of quickly folding them.

"If we, who specialize in developing lightweight folding umbrellas, were to seriously create a long umbrella, how light could we make it?"

The development of KALCT began with that pure curiosity and challenge.

Based on the design philosophy of folding umbrellas, we thoroughly reviewed materials and structures from the frame to the fabric. The result is a light and compact long umbrella, among the lightest in the world, while maintaining the size unique to long umbrellas.

To address the concern that "light umbrellas might be fragile," we focused on a structure that flexibly deflects wind, ensuring robustness that can withstand everyday wind and rain.

The name KALCT embodies our intuitive desire for something "light and compact."

An umbrella is not just a tool to keep out the rain. We hope it can be something that lightens the heavy mood of a rainy day, even just a little.

"I've gotten used to the convenience of folding umbrellas, but I really wanted the security of a long umbrella."

We especially want those people to pick this up.
